Obtaining the Latest Release
The latest service pack can be downloaded from our ftp site. Information on using ftp can be found here. Please contact the Spectra QEST Helpdesk on +61 8 8360 8999 or by emailing helpdesk@spectraqest.com if you require a username or password.
Obtaining and Installing your Licence File
Operation of QESTLab/QESTMix requires a valid licence file in the Windows System32 folder (usually C:\Windows\System32\). This file is named QEST.LIC and is provided by Spectra QEST. It is specific to each client, contains client identification information and should be treated with the highest level of security. The file contains information about your laboratories and available features. Making this file available to a third party is a breach of the licensing contract.
Note that the information contained within the licence file is encrypted and thus cannot be viewed by third party software. Modifying the licence file in any way will cause it to become corrupt and the products will cease to function.
The licence file needs to be installed on the PC that will have QESTLab Server and/or QESTMix Server installed. To obtain your customer specific licence file, please contact the Spectra QEST Helpdesk on +61 8 8360 8999.
