QL 4.1.1900, QF 4.1.13 Release Notes - CRs

Bug/CR ID Customer Code Customer Reference Product(s) Modified Name Release Notes
Bug#1712 INTERNAL n/a QESTLab Removal of Template Location from QEST Admin Console The QESTLab > Configuration > Template Location node has been removed from the QEST Admin Console. The template location is now only set via a TemplateLocation={location} line in the config.ini residing in the QESTLab Client directory, or via the /TL {location} command line parameter passed to the QLA.EXE or QLC.EXE.

This issue also resolves the error "Malformed query. Ensure that the template path and connection has been set." which occasionally occurs when exporting XSD files from the QEST Admin Console.

Bug#4097 AUHAN 89 QESTLab Grading [AS 1141.11.1] - Not Reporting 'Drying Method' on reduced screen. The 'Grading [AS 1141.11.1] * [10436]' reduced test screen now contains an entry for 'Drying Method', which will be reported if a 'Drying Method' is selected.
Bug#4142 AUHAN CONC36 QESTLab Concrete Shrinkage: Unable to edit fields after signing A bug has been fixed for the following test screens:
  • Shrinkage [NZS 3112:Part 3:1986][16014]
  • Shrinkage [AS 1012.13][16015]
  • Shrinkage [RMS T312] [16019]

Which did not allow the 'Specimen ID's', 'Room ID's, 'Initial Readings', and lengths to be edited after a Workorder level report was signed. These fields are now editable.

Bug#4472 USPSI QNET482 QESTField Start Workflow - page opens at the bottom Starting a workflow will open the page at the top rather than related to your current page's scroll bar position.
Bug#4481 USPSI QNET473 QESTField Change Password not saving Navigating to Change Password will now show a confirmation dialog informing the user that any data on the current page will be lost. The Change Password page will save your new password. It will return to the login page and require you to log on with your new password to continue working. If you cancel changing your password, you will stay logged on and will be returned to your work.
Bug#4512 USPSI QNET490 QESTLab, QESTField Reinforcing Steel Observation Report: Field label correction On the PSI User Document Reinforcing Steel Observation Worksheet (ID 19103), the field label "Specification Location (grid lines)" has been corrected to "Specific Location (grid lines)".
Bug#4657 USPSI QNET533 QESTField New Moisture Content Workflow: Error when loading page A bug which caused the error message "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values." to appear when attempting to access the New Moisture Check workflow has been fixed.
Bug#4818 USHVJ QESTLab Exported PDF - Security Permission Issues A bug, that resulted in signed test reports exported in PDF form having strange security permissions that don't match the permissions set in the QLA, has now been fixed.
Bug#5075 AUHAN 17 QESTLab Core Density: Paraffin wax field format The field 'Paraffin Wax Density' has been updated for the Core Density [Q306A - 10][17312] screen, so that it correctly displays to 4 decimal places.
Bug#5085 USKLF QESTLab Concrete Specimens CT523 - Incorrect Strength Rounding A bug, that resulted in FLEX and FLEXC specimens on the concrete sample for Caltrans CT523 Method 1 and Method 2 rounding the strength value to the nearest 5, has been fixed.
Bug#5095 USPSI QNET599 QESTField Concrete Samples: Removing specimen cross-fill from US workflows For all US concrete sample workflows in QESTField, the concrete specimen test group will no longer be cross-filled from a previous sample.
Bug#5113 USPSI QNET603 QESTField Test Report Images: Added support for PNG and TIFF images in QESTField Images of filetype *.png, *.tif and *.tiff can now be attached to a test report via QESTField. These images will be converted to JPEG format for compatibility with QESTLab.
Bug#5140 USKLF QESTLab Soundness Screens: Unrecoverable error A bug has been fixed for the below test screens, which occurred when no data was entered, and the screen was left. The screens can now be left with no data entered, without causing an error.
  • Sodium Sulfate Soundness [ASTM C 88 - 05] [110113]
  • Magnesium Sulfate Soundness [AASHTO T 104 - 99] [110114]
Bug#5144 USKLF QESTLab Concrete Field Report: Foot note Issues A bug has been fixed for the 'Concrete Field Report [18971]' which caused the footnotes of the report to not update with the correct 'Air Content Method', 'Slump Method' and 'Unit Weight Method' chosen on the sample. This now functions correctly.
Bug#5154 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Relative Compaction (ASTM): Tab order incorrect A bug has been fixed for the 'Relative Compaction (ASTM) [110201]' screen which caused the 'Dry Oversize (%)' to be unable to be 'tabbed' into.
Bug#5155 INTERNAL QESTLab Reduced ASTM Proctors: Require both MDD and MDUW filled in for inheritance The following reduced ASTM proctor screens now contain 'Maximum Dry Unit Weight', 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Unit Weight', 'Maximum Dry Density' and 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Density':
  • Proctor - Modified [ASTM D 1557 - 2007]* [110378]
  • Proctor - Standard [ASTM D 698 - 2007]* [110377]
  • Proctor - Standard [ASTM D 698 - 2012]* [110052]

A database trigger has been created which will, when the user leaves the screen, transfer the value from the 'Maximum Dry Unit Weight' field into the 'Maximum Dry Density' field, and vice versa, if the user has not already entered a value into that field. This is performed so that tests that import from the reduced screens have the correct fields available. This is also the case for the 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Unit Weight' and 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Density' values.

If the user does enters a value for both of these manually, even if they are different, the trigger will not attempt to update the values. It will only occur when one value from the pair is null.

Please contact SpectraQEST for details regarding the installation of the trigger script.
UPDATE: The trigger in Bug#5286 should be used instead of this one now.

Bug#5156 USPSI PSI1427 QESTLab Concrete Field Report: New field Apparent Air Content included erroneously New field Apparent Air Content included erroneously in the Concrete Field Report [18971] is removed now.
Bug#5157 USPSI PSI1429 QESTLab User Documents - QESTLab Internal Fields are Visible A bug, that resulted in the QESTLab internal fields being visible on a User Document, has now been fixed.
Bug#5158 INTERNAL QESTLab Bulk entry: New view for 'Field Density + Oversize' A new Bulk Entry view, named 'Field Density + Oversize', has been created which will show the oversize entry data for the Relative Compaction (ASTM) [110201] test screen.

NOTE: A QEST Administrator Console database update is required for these changes to take effect.

Bug#5159 INTERNAL QESTLab Proctor Screens - Mould Calibration Units Issue A bug that resulted in the proctor screen not handling the case where the Density Mold chosen has been calibrated using different units than that of the screen, has been fixed.
Bug#5160 INTERNAL QESTLab TxDOT Proctor Formatting - MDD is not rounded on the screen A bug that resulted in the MDD being incorrectly rounded on the Tex-113-E and Tex-114-E test screens has been fixed.
Bug#5163 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Oversize Columns on Field Density Test Report The Field Density Report now no longer reports the Proctor Oversize percentage while it also only reports the Field Oversize percentage if one of the Relative Compaction tests has an Oversize.
Bug#5164 USPSI QNET610 QESTField QESTField Workflows: Superfluous refresh when headings clicked A bug which caused QESTField workflows to trigger a superfluous refresh when report headings were clicked on has been fixed. This bug also caused the error message "Unable to find a container in the current workspace" to appear if the heading was clicked multiple times in succession.
Bug#5165 USPSI PSI1428 QESTField Concrete Specimen Ordering Concrete specimens created in QESTField will display in the correct specimen order in QESTLab.

Workflow link ordering has been updated to a new alpha numeric algorithm that better orders captions that include numbers. For example sample S10 will now come after sample S9 instead of S1.

Bug#5167 INTERNAL n/a QESTLab Relative Compaction: Importing MC errors A bug has been fixed where the Relative Compaction (ASTM) [110201] and Relative Compaction (TxDOT) [110202] screens would incorrectly set the reported 'Field Material Water Content (%)' entry to the result from an associated Nuclear Density test for all cases. A fix has been implemented so that if an associated 'Lab Determined Moisture Content (%)' has been imported, the 'Field Material Water Content (%)' will be updated to the more accurate lab result.

In addition, another bug has been fixed with the 'Moisture Content of Soil and Rock [ASTM D 2216] [110066]' screen which caused the Moisture Content to not update in the database correctly when the bulk entry screen was used.

Bug#5168 USPSI QNET619 QESTField Test Reports: Issue No. set for unsigned reports A bug which caused unsigned reports to have their issue number set to 1 when created or accessed in QESTField has been fixed.
Bug#5170 USPSI PSI1426 QESTLab, QESTField Relative Compaction: Various issues with new ASTM screen The following fixes have been made to the newly configured test screens for Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110201] and Relative Compaction (TxDOT) [ID 110202]:
  • The "Field Oversize Adjustment" panel will be locked if Oversize Specific Gravity has not been imported.
  • "Dry Oversize (%)" will no longer be set to 0 by default.
  • Imported density and moisture content values will now be formatted in accordance to the proctor method.
  • An error in the calculation for Adjusted Dry Density has been corrected.
  • The label "Laboratory Result" has been changed to "Laboratory Adj. Result" for clarification.
  • Proctor results will now appear on the Field Density Test Report if no oversize correction was performed.
  • "Field Oversize (%)" will be reported as 'N/A' if no oversize correction was performed.
  • The "Field Oversize (%)" column on the Field Density Test Report has been widened.
  • For ASTM and AASHTO proctors, adjustment calculations will be performed only when "Dry Oversize (%)" is at least 5%.
  • The terminology used for some ASTM D 698 and ASTM D 1557 tests has been corrected in line with the terminology of the standard.

Please note that External proctors are not currently supported for this screen.
The document-level option "Dis-allow External Proctor Import" should be set to "Yes" for Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110201] and Relative Compaction (TxDOT) [ID 110202].

Bug#5171 USPSI QNET624 QESTField Concrete Truck Log: Field values not saving A bug which prevented values entered into the Concrete Truck Log workflow from saving has been fixed.
Bug#5172 INTERNAL QESTLab Relative Compaction: Enter Oversize unlocked on screen refresh A bug has been fixed which caused the "Enter Field Oversize" checkbox on the Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110201] and Relative Compaction (TxDOT) [ID 110202] screens to be erroneously unlocked on screen refresh when a valid proctor has not been imported.
Bug#5173 USPSI QNET621 QESTField, QESTLab Change/Delete Signed Data Workflows with signed reports on them will now appear as read-only in QESTField.
Bug#5174 INTERNAL QESTLab Proctor Screen - Compaction IP Issues A bug that resulted in the Proctor screen not importing the Density Mold values correctly based on the Document Level Option 'Compaction IP' has been fixed.
Bug#5175 USPSI QNET629 QESTField Work Order - Sample link captions The sample link captions on the work order now display information about the documents on the sample as well. This may increase the load time of large work orders as the documents are now also loaded when opening a work order.
Bug#5177 USPSI PSI1432 QESTLab Concrete Test Report: Label Misalignment A bug has been fixed which caused the 'Field Sample' column of the 'Concrete Test Report [18947]' to be cut off when the 'Curing Method' entered was too long. This has been fixed by moving 'Curing Method' to a new line by itself.
Bug#5178 USPSI QNET620 QESTField Soil-Cement Cylinders: Workflow changes The Sample Pickup workflow "New Soil-Cement Cylinders" was not accessible in QESTField 4.1. This workflow has been reinstated.

The following additional changes were made for this workflow:

  • The Soil-Cement cylinder fields 'Date Molded', 'Time Molded' and 'Molding Method' can now be set on the sample pickup workflow.
  • 'Date Molded' will now default to the parent sample's 'Date Sampled' value.
  • The sample field 'Sampling Method' will now appear on this workflow.
  • The 'Material' drop-down on the "Edit Agg/Soil Sample" workflow will now support free-entry for ASTM laboratories.
Bug#5179 INTERNAL QESTField, QESTLab Relative Compaction: Various changes for AASHTO and MnDOT proctors The following changes have been made for AASHTO and MnDOT proctor tests imported to the Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110201] and Relative Compaction (TxDOT) [ID 110202] screens, as well as the relevant workflows in QESTField:
  • The Field Oversize Adjustment fields will now be enabled when these proctors are imported
  • If the proctor has no value for Oversize Specific Gravity it will default to 2.6.
  • Field Oversize Water Content will default to 2%, but can be edited.

A bug has been fixed which allowed oversize corrections to be performed on these screens when the imported proctor was not performed using the SSD method.

A bug has been fixed which caused irrelevant reported fields to be added to the Field Density Test Report [ID110244] when other documents were present on the same work order.

Bug#5180 USPSI QNET636 QESTField In-situ Density Sand Cone Method: Direct Entry / External check-box does not cross-fill For the In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method workflow, the "Direct Entry / External" check-box for the Sand selection will now cross-fill from a previous In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method test on the same work order.
Bug#5182 USPSI QNET622 QESTField Concrete Workflows: Issues with New Concrete Testing - Field/Specimens workflow mapping A bug which caused the workflow "New Concrete Testing - Field/Specimens" to appear twice in some laboratories, and to not appear in some laboratories where it should, has been fixed.
Bug#5183 USPSI QNET615 QESTField Equipment and entered values for Density by Drive-Cylinder [ASTM D 2937] and Depth copied across from previous sample For all field density tests in QESTField, the functionality of the Depth being copied across (cross-filled) from a previous sample upon creation of the density test has been restored. Additionally, for the New Density by Drive-Cylinder [ASTM D 2937] workflow, the equipment codes (Balance, Drive Hammer, Field Stove, and Drive Cylinder) are copied over.

Note: the Density by Drive-Cylinder [ASTM D 2937] workflow allows for the Drive Cylinder Height, Diameter, Mass and Volume to be adjusted for the test after importing the values from an equipment calibration. These adjusted values will be cross-filled from the Drive Cylinder test of the previous sample if they exist.

The "Import Proctor From Sample" field is also being cross-filled - this was done in another issue and also affected the Nuclear Field Density and Sand Cone Method tests.

Bug#5184 USPSI QNET615 QESTField Density by Drive-Cylinder - Moisture Content Method not Locking A bug, which resulted in the Moisture Content Method field not locking when using the Density by Drive-Cylinder [ASTM D 2937] with Moisture Content [FM 5-507] workflow, has now been fixed.
Bug#5185 USPSI QNET618 QESTLab Changed "Allow Non-Numeric Location Data" option description The description for the option "Allow Non-Numeric Location Data", under Options -> General in the QEST Administrator Console, has been changed so as not to imply that customers using IP units would not need it. US customers should set it to TRUE to ensure that they can enter a Station No. for an Aggregate/Soil Sample that is not just a number, for example 5+67.
Bug#5186 USPSI QNET634 QESTLab, QESTField Concrete (and Other) Signatures Signatures are no longer erroneously displayed in QESTLab's bulk entry for new work orders. Signatures can be removed from existing work orders by opening and closing the work order in QESTField.
Bug#5187 USPSI QESTField Inspections - Redundant Location field

The sample location field has been removed for the following workflows:

  • Concrete Truck Log
  • Density of SFRM
  • Discrepancy Report
  • Drilled Pier Observation Report
  • Masonry Observation
  • Steel Observation Report
  • Thickness of SFRM
  • Daily Field Report
  • Floor Flatness and Levelness
  • Foundation Report - Dynamic Cone
  • Foundation Report - Spring Loaded
  • Foundation Report - Static Cone
  • Proofroll
  • Special Inspection DFR
  • Summary DFR
Bug#5188 USPSI QNET637 QESTField Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556] - removal of auto-calculate and having Relative Compaction calculate with one click For the In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556], when data was entered in certain fields, it would cause the calculations to be triggered. This caused issues because the trigger did not occur for every field that could be involved in the calculation, so entering the data out of order could mislead the user. Many of the results would then be unexpectedly out of sync with the data that had just been entered. This has been changed so that these calculations don't occur during data entry but only when the "Calculate" or "Done" button is pressed.

Changes have been made to ensure that the calculation of Relative Compaction and Moisture Variation use the latest values. This solves the problem where two calculations needed to be performed to get the correct results.

Fixed a bug where an error could be thrown when pressing Enter on the Moisture Content (%).

Bug#5189 USPSI QNET632 QESTField Concrete specimen crossfill - Slump/Air workflows Test Group Name and Code are no longer copied from the previous sample for Slump/Air workflows. This stops concrete specimens being created erroneously.
Bug#5190 USPSI QNET627 QESTField Concrete Testing - Slump/Air - simplified workflow made A new, simplified workflow of Concrete Testing - Slump/Air has been made which is closer to what was present in QESTField 3.0. This is in addition to the Concrete Testing - Slump/Air that existed previously in QESTField 4.1.
Bug#5191 USPSI QNET614 QESTField Concrete Workflows: Slump and Air method selections not appearing for ASTM (2013) and ASTM (2014) A bug has been fixed which prevented the Slump Method and Air Method selections from appearing when the ASTM (2013) or ASTM (2014) standards were selected on a concrete workflow.
Bug#5192 USPSI QNET633 QESTField Field/Specimens - No Mix Details views Work Orders created under the "No Mix Lab" region will automatically have the Work Order view set to "PSI No Mix Details", and the concrete sample report's view set to "Exclude Mix Details".

Note that in order for this to work, the stored procedure for creating new work orders must be updated to at least script version v1.3. This can be found in the PSI post-install go live files folder, "createSPcreateWorkOrder.sql".

Bug#5193 USPSI QNET631 QESTField Concrete Workflows: Custom fields missing from TxDOT workflow The following I2MS custom fields have been reinstated in the TxDOT concrete sample workflows:
  • Specification Year
  • Special Provision
  • Grade
  • Roadway
  • Direction
  • Station No.
  • Distance From Centerline

Bug#5199 INTERNAL n/a QESTLab Restored bulk entry view for Reinforcing Steel Observation Worksheet Many fields were missing from the bulk entry view for the Reinforcing Steel Observation Worksheet [ID 19103] user document. This has been fixed.
Bug#5200 USPSI PSI1435 QESTLab Proctor Screen ASTM D 1557 - Mold Mass Rounding A bug, that resulted in the mold mass, on the Proctor [ASTM D 1557] screen, rounding to the nearest 0.01 instead of to the nearest 0.001 in the equipment area and on the grid, when using Imperial Units, has now been fixed.
Bug#5201 USPSI N/A QESTLab Compressive Strength of Soil-Cement: Invalid Null Error A bug has been fixed which caused a 'Invalid Use of Null' error to be thrown in the 'Compressive Strength of Soil-Cement [ASTM D 1633][110059]' test screen.

This error occurred when any Moisture Content test, containing a blank moisture content value, was present on the same sample as the Compressive Strength test.

Bug#5206 INTERNAL QESTField Work Order Workflows - Edit Daily Field Inspection The Edit Daily Field Inspection workflow is now placed in an inspection section at the start of Workflows.
Bug#5209 USKLF QESTLab, QESTField Daily Field Inspection: 'Equipment Observed' Equipment Observed field on the Daily Field Inspection test screen has been changed to a multi-line field.
Bug#5211 USKLF QESTLab Daily Field Inspection: Weather Conditions List A bug has been fixed for the 'Daily Field Inspection [119013]' which caused the 'Weather Conditions' entry to not link to the 'Weather Conditions List [20012]. This now links as expected.
Bug#5214 USKLF Other Add Work Order - Client name not set The client name is not being set when selecting a client as part of Add Work Order. This is due to the Client list option "Allow free entry of data in list" being set as True. This option needs to be set to False.
Bug#5219 USPSI PSI1437 QESTLab Proctor Screens: Ignoring custom-entered Mould Diameter value A bug which caused a custom-entered 'Mould Diameter' for the equipment item 'Density Mould [30002]' in the 'Proctor - Modified [ASTM D 1557][110033]' to be lost upon leaving the test screen, has been fixed.
Bug#5220 USKLF n/a QESTField Kleinfelder Concrete workflow configuration The Concrete Field/Batch/Specimens workflow has been removed. The Concrete Field/Specimens workflow will now be used instead for adding and editing concrete.
Bug#5221 USPSI QNET639 QESTField Relative Compaction: Rounded values not used in QESTField calculations A bug caused the raw values of 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Density' and 'Adjusted Optimum Moisture Content' to be used in Relative Compaction calculations, rather than the rounded values, when performing the test in QESTField. This has been fixed.
Bug#5222 INTERNAL QESTLab Compressive Strength Tests (ASTM D 1633): Mould Mass being imported incorrectly A bug which caused the 'Mould Mass' to be imported in the wrong unit (lb where grams where expected) for the below tests screens, has been resolved.

Compressive Strength of Soil-Cement Clinders [ATSM D 1633, ASTM D559 - 2007, 2003] [110057]
Compressive Strength of Soil-Cement Clinders [ATSM D 1633, ASTM D1632 - 200, 2007] [110058]

Bug#5234 USPSI PSI1439 QESTField Relative Compaction: Incorrect imported percentage rock in QESTNet The value of the imported percentage rock now will be set properly in QESTField after one proctor is imported.
Bug#5235 USKLF QESTField Concrete Test Report - Incorrectly Shows Compliance Strength Values A bug, that resulted in the Concrete Test Report showing the Compliance Average Strength Values when no compliance ages have been entered, has now been fixed.
Bug#5236 USKLF QESTField Field Density Location Information Elevation entered in feet in QESTField showing value in metres but caption as feet in QESTLab. Set "Enable Imperial Units Formatting" to "True" in the Default Region of Regions & Laboratories in the QEST Administrator Console.

The field Lot No in the Asphalt Field Density workflow in QESTField is now saved to the Laying Lot field on the Asphalt Sample in QESTLab.
Elevation copying to the Location unexpectedly in QESTField and QESTLab. Set the document level option "Copy GPS Elevation to Location" on the Aggregate/Soil Sample to "No" in the QEST Administrator Console.

Bug#5237 USKLF QESTField Added samples are visible on the Work Order even if they have not been saved and then save when the next document does This issue has been fixed such that sample that are not saved no longer appear.
Bug#5240 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab ASTM Proctors: Reduced Screen rounding is incorrect The following screens now correctly display all values of density to the nearest 0.1, as per the corresponding ASTM and TxDoT standards:
  • Proctor - Standard [ASTM D 698] * [110052]
  • Proctor - Standard [ASTM D 698 - 07] * [110377]
  • Proctor - Modified [ASTM D 1557 - 07] * [110378]

It will now import with rounding to the nearest 0.1.
Bug#5245 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Relative Compaction: Corrected moisture content not reported The issue where laboratory corrected moisture content value is not reported on the Field Density Test report (110244) for Relative Compaction tests has been addressed.
Bug#5247 INTERNAL N/A QESTField Reinforcing Steel: Report not at work order level The issue where the reinforcing test report is not added as a work order level test report when Reinforcing tests are created in QESTField has been addressed.
Bug#5248 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Reduced Screens: Error thrown when QESTLab window too narrow A bug has been fixed which caused reduced test screens and user document field entry screens to throw an "Error 30014" message when the QESTLab window's width was below a certain value.
Bug#5250 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Relative Compaction: Moisture Content only updates when Relative Compaction screen loaded When the "Moisture Content' value on a test was altered, the "Laboratory Determined Moisture Content (%)" value exported to the ASTM / TxDOT Relative Compaction screens [ID 110201, 110202] would not update until the Relative Compaction screen was loaded. Now this value will update as soon as the Moisture Content source test is updated.
Bug#5252 USKLF QESTField Concrete Contractor, Supplier, Plant, Mix lists - free entry The display of the Concrete Contractor, Supplier, Plant and Mix lists on concrete workflows has been changed to the following:

If not licensed for the list, a textbox is displayed.
If licensed for the list, a fixed dropdown is displayed.
If licensed for the list and the list option "Allow free entry of data in list" is True, a combo dropdown is displayed.

Bug#5253 USKLF QESTField US Concrete Specimen Types filtered by Test Method, "Charged" in specimen caption only when "Charge" checkbox exists For the Concrete Testing workflows used in the US, selecting a Test Method e.g. ASTM C 109 on the "Field and Specimen Data" phase will restrict the specimen types that can be chosen.

When the "Charge" checkbox is not present on the workflow, no "Charged" label will ever appear on the caption for the specimen.

Bug#5254 USKLF QESTField Concrete specimens: "Hold" in caption, Hold checkbox, preventing errors In the Concrete Testing workflow, a Hold checkbox will be available for each concrete specimen. This is an alternative to typing "999" in the Days textbox (which will continue to work). "Hold" will be shown in the caption now instead of "999d".

Prevented errors when a date or time becomes too large as a result of entering a large value in the Days or Hours textboxes. (If this is done then the Test Date will be unset.)

Bug#5259 USKLF QESTField, QESTLab Concrete Air Method Rounding A bug in QESTLab, that resulted in Air Content not rounding correctly when changing between Air Content Methods, has now been fixed.

A bug in QESTField, that resulted in Air Content not being shown in the correct format based on the selected Air Content Method, has now been fixed.

The screen did not import sand density data from historic versions of the same screen correctly.
A scroll bar has been added to allow the screen to be used on many different display resolutions.
The value for 'Sand Cone Volume' has now user-editable if no sandcone data is being imported, or the imported data contains no volume.
The report will now update with the values calculated in Bulk Entry. It is no longer necessary to step onto the test screen to update the report.

Bug#5266 USKLF n/a QESTLab Asphalt Nuclear Density - Various Reporting Issues The following issues have been fixed on the Asphalt Field Density Report (117027), for reporting Asphalt Nuclear Density Tests (117018, 117027, 117062 & 117063):
  • An issue where Nuclear Gauges that use the "intercept" calibration value to calculate Wet Density does not work correctly in the bulk entry has been fixed.
  • An issue where the "Location" section on the test report had incorrect grid lines has been fixed.
  • The Layer Thickness is now reported per test.
  • The Elevation result is now centre aligned.
  • The Method of Measurement is now reported once as a single result, once per report in the Testing Detail section.

Bug#5268 INTERNAL n/a QESTField Fix for error that can occur when Work Order has a Soil-Cement test For Work Orders having a Compressive Strength of Soil-Cement [ASTM D 1633] test that did not have a Date Molded set, an error would occur when attempting to load another workflow from the Work Order. This has been fixed.
Bug#5269 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Proctor : Mould volume calculation behaviour inconsistent when “Both” used for volume in document level option

Proctor Mold volume is the calibrated value imported, in preference to recalculating it on the screen, when "both" is set for the 'Mold Volume' in document level option. The calculation of volume from diameter and height only takes place if there is no volume value available in the set of calibrated values.

Bug#5270 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Work Order Group Views An issue where several "Data Entry" and "Delete Me" views were erroneously available for Work Order Group views has been fixed.
Bug#5271 INTERNAL QESTLab Accuracy of Data in 2012 Proctor Test Screens The following 2012 versions of ASTM Proctor screens now record the Mold & Wet Soil Mass and Mold Mass to the nearest gram, and Wet and Dry Unit Weights to 4 significant figures:

Bug#5274 INTERNAL n/a QESTField Table DocumentCertificatePictures - QestIDs wrong A patch to update QestIDs to 111287 from 90201 worked successfully the first time the upgrade tool was run. Subsequent upgrades however would revert the QestIDs back to 90201. This problem has been fixed and any wrong QestIDs corrected.
Bug#5275 INTERNAL QESTLab Compressive Strength Tests (ASTM D 1633): Extra issues Following fixes have been made in the Compressive Strength of Soil-Cement Clinders [ATSM D 1633, ASTM D559 - 2007, 2003] [110057], Compressive Strength of Soil-Cement Clinders [ATSM D 1633, ASTM D1632 - 200, 2007] [110058] and Soil-Cement, Soil-Lime [Tex-120-E Part I][110772]:
  • Default Mould assigned in the Equipment item "Density Mould" now imports the calibration values when the screen is first opened.
  • The mould mass of the specimens is displayed to 1 decimal place.
  • Missing labels of constant dry mass fields have been added.
  • Unit Weights now displayed and reported to the nearest 0.1 lbf/ft^3,
  • "Density" caption is changed to "Unit Weight" and the "Dry Density Ratio" is changed to "Relative Compaction" on the specimen grid, for ASTM tests.
Bug#5277 INTERNAL QESTField, QESTLab In-Situ Density - Sand Cone Method: Moisture Content Method different in QESTLab and QESTField A bug has been fixed which caused the Moisture Content Method field to differ between the QESTLab and QESTField versions of the test screen In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556 - 07] (ID 110304).

Bug#5286 INTERNAL QESTLab DocumentMaximumDryDensity trigger - Needs to set QestComplete flag. The following reduced ASTM proctor screens have a database trigger which update 'Maximum Dry Unit Weight', 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Unit Weight', 'Maximum Dry Density' and 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Density':
  • Proctor - Modified [ASTM D 1557 - 2007]* [110378]
  • Proctor - Standard [ASTM D 698 - 2007]* [110377]
  • Proctor - Standard [ASTM D 698 - 2012]* [110052]

This trigger now also sets the QestComplete flag in the database, once a MDD,AMDD,MDUW and AMDUW have values populated in the database. This ensures compatibility with other inbuilt QESTLab features.

Please contact SpectraQEST for details regarding the installation of the trigger script.

Bug#5287 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Proctor: Incorrect overwriting behaviour for equipment Mold The overwriting behaviour of equipment mold has been changed for proctor tests as following:
  • When a mold is changed from its previous value, all values will be overwritten with calibrated values regardless of whether a user entered it or not.
  • After a user overwrites a value (mass, volume, diameter, height), reloading the screen will not clear or overwrite the updated value
  • Also, the issue where default mold values are not imported has been fixed.

Bug#5292 INTERNAL QESTField Relative Compaction Workflows: Order of proctor selection On relative compaction workflows in QESTField, proctors listed in the "Import Proctor From Sample" drop-down will now be ordered as follows:
  • Tests from the current sample will appear first
  • Maximum Dry Density tests will appear above California Bearing Ratio tests
  • Tests will then be ordered by their sample's Date Sampled value.
  • Samples taken on the same day will be ordered by Sample ID.
Bug#5293 USKLF QESTField QESTField: Times clear when entered in 24-hour format A bug has been fixed which caused time values entered in a 24-hour format (eg. "1600") to be lost when "Enter" was pressed.

Bug#5297 INTERNAL QESTField, QESTLab Adjusted Optimum Moisture Content fix and using Laboratory Oversize Water Content when no Field Oversize Water Content entered The following changes apply to the workflows in QESTField where a Relative Compaction is calculated and for the Relative Compaction screen in QESTLab for ASTM & TxDOT:
  • When a proctor is imported, there was a bug where the Adjusted Optimum Moisture Content was the unadjusted Optimum Moisture Content from the proctor instead of the Adjusted Optimum Moisture Content (this occurred immediately upon import in QESTField, and could also occur in QESTLab). This has been fixed.
  • When entering a field oversize, both in QESTField and QESTLab, now if Field Oversize Water Content is not entered, it will use the Laboratory Oversize Water Content to calculate the Adjusted Optimum Moisture Content (%) instead.
  • In QESTField, if entering a field oversize, the Adjusted Maximum Dry Density and Adjusted Optimum Moisture Content will only be displayed if the field oversize is known, i.e. the user has entered the necessary information to calculate these values.
Bug#5298 INTERNAL QESTField QESTField: Work order information not updated QESTField will now immediately update work order information (e.g. project, client, start time, etc.) on the search page after the information is updated in QESTLab,
Bug#5299 USKLF n/a QESTField Asphalt Density Mix Design - Does not auto-populate when fields are free entry A bug on the Asphalt Density Workflow that prevented the Supplier and Plant fields from auto-populating when a Mix was selected, has now been fixed. The Supplier, Plant and Mix lists on the Asphalt Density Workflow now allow free entry when the option for free entry is set in the QEST Admin Console.
Bug#5301 USKLF QESTField Asphalt Density: show Mix Design name in caption For the Asphalt Density [ASTM D 2950] workflow, in the dropdown from which users pick the Maximum Lab Density to import from, the Mix Design is now shown by name instead of by code. Bulk Specific Gravity items in the list also support the display of Mix Design here now. Captions should now appear the same way they do in the QESTLab.screen for Asphalt Density by Nuclear Method [ASTM D 2950 - 2011].

Fixed a bug where the browser would go to /Workspace/StandardPost when pressing Enter while in this field.

  • When importing from a reduced Proctor test screens, the screen was importing the Unit Weight values rather than the Density values.
  • Laboratory Determined Oversize (%) was not being imported from reduced Proctor test screens.
  • The Field Density Test Report [ID 110244] was reporting the imported Proctor tests' Maximum Dry Unit Weight rather than the Maximum Dry Density as specified in ASTM D 6938.

The following issues have been fixed for the QESTField Relative Compaction workflow

  • The field oversize adjustment calculation was being performed when "Enter Oversize" was not checked.
  • An error could occur when the "Import Proctor From Sample" selection was cleared.
  • When a proctor was imported from a different sample, the results string in the "Import Proctor From Sample" drop-down showed the field oversize adjustment values rather than the proctor's oversize adjustment values.
Bug#5321 USKLF QESTLab Aggregate/Soil Sample Material Fields - Auto-populating when free-entry is allowed A bug, that resulted in the 'Supplier List', 'Material Source' and 'Material' fields on the Aggregate/Soil Sample Screen auto-populating when free-entry is set, has been fixed.
Bug#5323 INTERNAL QESTField PSI User Document Workflows Broken Workflows using user documents will no longer raise "duplicate entities for the QestID" errors upon creation.
Bug#5325 INTERNAL QESTLab Notification: Unable to send email error message The following changes have been made to improve the notification email:
  • Now QESTLab will not send an email notification if no user has been selected to receive email notifications.
  • One hidden option ('DisableQualificationNotificationEmail') which can be used to disable qualification notification emails has been created. Database structure is required to update for this.
  • Now QESTLab will only display one message instead of the pair of message boxes for errors of sending notification emails, due to missing 'Notify Laboratory Supervisor' in the Manage Notifications menu item (Tools->Administration->Manage Notifications).
Bug#5326 INTERNAL n/a QESTField Aggsoil Sample Pickup - Suppler/Source/Material dropdowns cut off The dropdowns are no longer cut off or shifted to the left when viewing on a device with a smaller page width such as a phone.
