Bug#4966 AUKHG QESTLab Report User Comments : Drop down functioning incorrectly A bug has been fixed which caused entries in the 'Report Comments List [20090]' to not display in the drop-down on the options tab of test reports.
Bug#5084 AUHAN 30 QESTLab Atterberg screens: Sample History issue A bug has been fixed for all Atterberg Limit Screens, where the "Sample History" selection box would not load up the correct, previous stored value.
Bug#5136 USKLF QESTLab Mechanical Testing of Steel Products [ASTM A 370] - Screen Changes The following bugs have been fixed on the Mechanical Testing of Steel Products [ASTM A 370] (ID 14003) screen:
  • Bar Size now has the correct values in the list and it also includes the Metric value.
  • The rounding for Bar Nominal Area have been changed to 0.01
  • Sample Length and Weight have been moved to a new container and Cross Sectional Area is now calculated from these two values.
  • Yield Load, Ultimate Load and Ultimate Strength have been renamed to Yield Point, Maximum Load and Tensile Strength, respectively.
  • Elongation Percent, Yield Point, Yield Strength and Tensile Strength now round correctly based on Table A8.1 in the standard.
  • Elongation Percent is now only locked if a value exists in the 'Initial Gauge Length' and the 'Final Gauge Length' fields.
Bug#5256 INTERNAL - QESTLab, QESTField Agg/Soil Sample: Elevation units inconsistent between QESTField and QESTLab A bug exists in QESTField's Aggregate/Soil Sample workflows where the "Elevation" field's units are determined by the "Enable Imperial Units Formatting" option for the Default region instead of the "Sample GPS Elevation is in IP Units" option for the current laboratory. This will cause the value to be inconsistent between QESTField and QESTLab if these options do not match.

As part of addressing this, the QEST Admin Console patch which migrates options from the system-level to the laboratory-level has been corrected to set the value in the Default region rather than for each laboratory.

Note that until this issue is rectified in a future release, QESTField will use the options "Enable Imperial Units Formatting" and "Sample GPS Elevation is in IP Units" as set in the Default region. Please ensure these options have been set in this region.

An additional issue reported, where Elevation was undesirably copied into the "Location Description" field, can be corrected by setting the document-level option "Copy GPS Elevation to Location" to false for Aggregate/Soil Sample (ID 1001).

Bug#5312 INTERNAL QESTLab, QESTField Changes to precision of entry and display for In-Situ Density - Sand Cone Method The following changes have been made relating to the In-Situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556 - 2007] (and Relative Compaction) screen in QESTLab, the equivalent workflow in QESTField, and the display of values in reports such as the Field Density Test Report.
  • When entering masses to determine the Moisture Content as part of determining a field density by the sand cone method, entry will be reduced to 2 decimal places, i.e. to the nearest 0.01 g.
  • Water Content (or Moisture Content) on reports will be displayed to 2 significant figures (note this will not affect other kinds of field density testing, such as ASTM D 6938).
  • In-Place Wet Density and In-Place Dry Density are reported to 3 significant figures - in addition to data entry for the sand cone method, this will also apply to the Wet Density and Dry Density on the Relative Compaction screen and Field Density Test Report, where applicable.

Additionally, now when any Relative Compaction test (for example Relative Compaction [AS 1289.5.4.1] (ID10280) imports from one of the following tests, the field moisture content will be reported to the following precisions according to the standards:

  • Field Density Sand Replacement [Q111A - 1996] * (ID10306): nearest 0.1%
  • Field Density Sand Replacement [Q111A - 96] (ID10308): nearest 0.1%
  • Compacted Density of Soils and Crushed Rock (Sand Replacement) [Q111B - 08] (ID10329): nearest 0.1%
  • Compacted Density of Soils and Crushed Rock (Sand Replacement) [Q141B - 2010] (ID10337): nearest 0.1%
  • In-situ Density - Sand Replacement Method [BS 1377-9: 1990] (ID10335): 2 significant figures

(To avoid confusion, Queensland Dry Density Ratio tests such as Dry Density Ratio [Q143, Q140A] (ID10348) were already reporting the Field Moisture Content correctly and are unaffected by this change.)

Finally, a patch has been written to update old data to ensure the Moisture Content is formatted correctly, as well as the Wet Density and Dry Density on the Field Density Test Report when ASTM D 1556 is used, even when going directly to the test report. Without the patch, it would be necessary

Bug#5339 USKLF QESTLab California Bearing Ratio [ASTM D 1883] - Report Changes The following changes have been made to the Single and Multi California Bearing Ratio Reports (110228) and (18986):
  • Oversize now only appears on the report when it has been performed on the test.
  • Sample Condition is now capitalized so that soaked is reported as 'Soaked'. Hours Soaked is also now reported.
  • The CBR vs Dry Density graph on the Multi California Bearing Ratio Report now shows the entire curve.
  • To remove the Counter at the top of the results fields set the DLO option 'Show Counter' to No.
  • The swell readings now allow values with 3 decimal places.
  • The test screen now only reports the CBR percentage at either 0.1 inches or 0.2 inches.

To remove the counter row on the reports, set the Document Level Option 'Show Counter' on both reports to "No".

Bug#5344 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Batch Plant Inspection Checklist - Various Fixes
  • The parent sample has been changed to the US Concrete Sample.
  • The "Contractor", "Supplier", "Source", "Mix Design", "Design Strength", and reported "Remarks" are editable in QESTLab via the Concrete Sample. All other fields can be edited on the test itself via the new reduced screen, and on the bulk entry screen.
  • You must be licensed and permitted to use the Batch Plant Inspection Checklist (119014) in QESTLab to use this reduced screen.
Bug#5372 INTERNAL QESTLab In-situ Density by Sand Cone Method: Various issues for ASTM D 1556 The following issues have been fixed for test In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556 - 07] (ID 110304):
  • Changing the selected Sand Cone did not update the “”Volume of Sand Cone Apparatus” field.
  • Changing the selected Sand Cone did not lock the "Use Last Calibration" check-box when required.
  • The "Use Last Calibration" check-box was shown when Method B is selected. This check-box only applies to Method A.
  • Performing a Method A calibration altered the displayed "Volume of Sand Cone Apparatus" based on the Bulk Density of Sand. This field will now show the calibrated volume only.
  • Selecting a Sand with no calibrated Bulk Density value threw an error message.

The following issues have been fixed for tests Field Density Sand Replacement [WA324.1] (ID 10575) and Field Density Sand Replacement [WA324.1 - 14] (ID 10585):

  • The calculation of "Volume of Hole" referred to an incorrect field.
  • Result fields were not always recalculated when "Average Mass of Sand Pouring Apparatus" changed.
  • When IP units were used, several fields were mislabelled as "Pouring Density of Sand".
  • Several controls were misaligned on these screens.
  • When certain field values were changed, "Dry Density" would calculate according to the previous value.
Bug#5379 INTERNAL QESTLab In-Situ Density - Sand Cone Method: Various issues with bulk entry screen The following issues have been fixed on the bulk entry screen for test In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556 - 07] (ID 110304):
  • The "Direct Entry / External" check-box for Sand was not included.
  • "Calibration Method" and "Use Last Sand Cone Calibration" fields were always unlocked when the screen was first loaded.
  • When no Sand equipment was selected, clicking on any of the sand fields would copy across values from the Sand equipment used on the previous test.
  • When "Use Last Sand Cone Calibration" was set to true, current calibration data was not cleared.
  • Clearing the selected Sand equipment did not clear "Bulk Density of Sand".
  • When "Calibration Method" was set to "B", results were not recalculated when "Bulk Density of Sand" changed.
  • Changing the selected Sand Cone unlocked the Sand equipment field when "Direct Entry / External" was checked.
  • Directly entered Bulk Density values could clear when the Bulk Entry screen was loaded in between subsequent loads of the test screen.
  • If "Calibration Method" is the first field changed on the BE screen, the "Bulk Density of Sand" field will lock even if direct entry is permitted.
  • Result fields were not always recalculated when "Bulk Density of Sand" was cleared.
Bug#5406 AUCOF Cof16.031 QESTLab Test Reports: Items not loaded correctly for Client, Project and Report Comment drop-downs An issue where the Client, Project and Report Comment drop-downs on Test Reports would not load items correctly based on the Global, Local and Preferred Lab status has been fixed.
Bug#5438 NZFUH n/a QESTLab Specifications: Duplicate Specification Records created when copied from existing specification A bug has been fixed which caused duplicate Specification Records to be created when creating a new Specification by copying an existing Specification.

A bug has been fixed which caused Specifications created by copying an existing Specification to incorrectly flag values as "out of specification".

CR#2329 AUQMR NA QESTLab Compacted Density of Soils and Crushed Rock: New tests for Q141A - 2014 method The following test screens have been added to QESTLab to comply with the two calculation methods provided in Test Method N01 from the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads Nuclear Gauge Testing Manual:
  • Compacted Density of Soils and Crushed Rock [Q141A (Method 9.1) - 2014] (ID 10594)
  • Compacted Density of Soils and Crushed Rock [Q141A (Method 9.2) - 2014] (ID 10595)

Kindly contact SpectraQEST to be licensed for these tests.

Note the screen layout of Compacted Density of Soils and Crushed Rock [Q141A - 2010] (ID 10581) has been slightly modified to match the new screens, but has not changed functionally.

Additionally, a bug which prevented the Relative Compaction and Degree of Saturation [Q146,Q143,Q140A] (ID 10587) screen from calculating Relative Compaction has been fixed.

CR#3003 USKLF QESTLab Specification Group - Create Group on the Specification screen A specification group can now be created by entering the name of the new group directly into the specification group field on the specification screen. This allows the user to create a specification group without having to create a specification at the same time.

Note: The new group will not appear on the screen until the tree is refreshed.

CR#3086 AUQMR QESTLab Bulk Density [Q306C - 2014] (ID 17315): New screen for the updated standard The updated version of the screen Bulk Density [Q306C - 2014] (ID 17315) is now available. Kindly contact Spectra QEST to be licensed for this screen.
