CR#2261	AUHAN	SPEC_ORDER	QESTLab, QESTField	Concrete and Masonry Specimens Ordering	Concrete and Masonry Specimens had the potential to appear ordered wrong, when created in QESTField and viewed in QESTLab (either on the test screens or test reports). In addition, in QESTLab, specimens could be added or changed such that they would appear out of order. To address this problem, specimens created in QESTField will be ordered as follows when created, before generating the Specimen IDs: Type Then Age (Days & Hours) Then Created Date Specimens with empty (Null) fields will be listed at the bottom, although the items with zero will be listed at the top. QESTLab will order the specimens by Specimen ID by default, but the user can choose any of the following options from the “Sort Order” drop down list; which is a new feature added to the Concrete Sample screen. ID (the default) Type then ID Type then Age ID then Age Type, then Age, then ID If the ordering of Specimens has been changed within QESTLab, then further viewing of the specimens in QESTField will show them in the newly selected order.

Licensing Requirements: [AASHTO T 84 - 2013] Specific Gravity and Absorption of Fine Aggregate [110264] [AASHTO T 85 - 2014] Specific Gravity and Absorption of Coarse Aggregate [110265] Changes: The only change of note in the standard is that it alters the definition of Bulk Specific Gravity (SSD), allowing the aggregate to be submerged for 15-19 hours, rather than explicitly 15 hours. This minor change in the standards require no change in functionality in QESTLab. The test method revision year has been updated. Bug fixes: In older versions of the Bulk Entry, 'Density Determined Without First Drying' would display "Yes\" instead of "Yes". This has been fixed. 'Density Determined without First Drying?' would show on the report when the checkbox wasn't checked. Now, this will only show, and report 'Yes', when the checkbox is checked. A bug which prevented the "Bulk Density ("Unit Weight") and Voids - AASHTO T 19 [110265]" test from importing "Bulk Specific Gravity" from the "Specific Gravity of Coarse Aggregate - AASHTO T 84 [110264]" and "Specific Gravity of Fine Aggregate - AASHTO T 85 [110265]" test screens has also been fixed. Some minor changes were made to labels on the screens and reports to ensure a match with the terminology of the standards. A bug has been fixed for the 'Specific Gravity of Fine Aggregates [AASHTO T 85 - 2014][110265] where the warning message for an invalid 'Water Bath Soak Time' was not updated to reflect the new standard. The error message now correctly appears for values of Soak Times outside of 15-19h. The error message text has been updated to reflect this.

Licensing Requirements: Drying Shrinkage [AS 1012.8.4/1012.13 - 2015] [16023] Concrete Shrinkage - Test Report [16024] Reference Bar [30163] Concrete Shrinkage Mould [30164] QESTLab screen changes: The new screen is split into tabs to better separate the preparing and measurement steps "Externally Prepared" and "Externally Measured" checkboxes are available When either of these is checked, the Despatch frame and the Sample Received frame become visible, allowing the user to enter the date and time of despatch from the preparing laboratory and the date and time of receipt at the measuring laboratory, the condition of the received specimens and note any damage to the specimens and repairs carried out on them. To be consistent with the report, the screen now uses Specimen 1, 2 and 3 where previously it used Specimen A, B and C There is now a Specimen Identification grid. A different Mould ID can be selected for each specimen; these are selected from a dropdown populated by Concrete Shrinkage Moulds, but free entry is also supported here A Comments box on the test screen is provided. Data entered here will appear on the report with the caption "Notes" A Length Comparator can be chosen using a dropdown populated from the Shrinkage Gauge equipment list A Reference Bar can be chosen using a dropdown populated from the Reference Bar equipment list When Initial Curing is Non-standard, the maximum and minimum temperatures can be entered In addition to being able to enter a "Storage Location" for the specimen set, the Initial Measurements grid has a "Storage Location" row for individual locations to be recorded against each specimen. There is a "Next Reading" row in the Initial Measurements grid. Values can be repeatedly entered into this cell and will be pushed down into the Readings below for that specimen. The average shrinkage for a set of readings is now displayed to 10 microstrain The shrinkage grid, where the length data over different drying periods is entered, is part of the "Subsequent Measurements" frame. A laboratory supervisor can edit these sets of readings if they are either unchecked or there is no signed report for the test. Other technicians can only edit a set of readings if both of the following conditions are true: There is no signed report on the test AND The set of readings in question is not checked. Any signed test report on the Work Order, other than that attached to the Drying Shrinkage test itself, will not cause the screen to be locked from editing. Fixes to tab ordering. Test Report changes: The first page of the report is for "Part A Preparation Only" and the second page is for "Part B Measurement Only" The page for Part A will appear only if "Externally Prepared" is not checked or there is information entered in the Preparation tab. The page for Part B will appear only if "Externally Measured" is not checked or there is information entered in the Measurement tab. The pages of the report have undergone a redesign The report includes whether the Initial Curing was Standard or Non-standard and if Non-standard, the Deviations from Standard Curing and the temperature range during initial curing. QESTField changes: For the Australian Concrete Field Testing workflow, "Add Shrinkage Set" will now add the new test and report. When adding a shrinkage test the user will be able to enter all three moulds. The mould selection is now a drop down populated with the Shrinkage Moulds accessible by the current laboratory. The user can specify whether the Shrinkage Set should be charged for. Upon checking or unchecking this box, the choice will be copied down to any sets of readings present on the Shrinkage Set. If the checkbox is not changed, choices made in QESTLab (including on a per-drying period level) will be unaffected. The Start Curing workflow now allows for entering data for the Shrinkage Specimens: whether Externally Prepared, Date Received, Time Start Cure and Hours on Site. If the Hours on Site is outside the range of 18 hours to 24 hours, a section will appear for entering the Reason it is non-standard and the temperature range for the specimens during initial curing. The Start Curing caption on the Work Order view now also lists the Shrinkage Moulds in use. NOTE: Use of the new screen requires that custom reports are reinstalled (i.e. Common.qctr) through the QEST Administrator Console using Tools -> Install Custom Reports.
CR#2913	AUHAN	Conc#41	QESTLab	Configurable Test Report E-mail Subject to include Work Order and Project details	A new option, "Email Subject Format", has been added in the QEST Administrator Console (accessible via Configuration -> Options -> Publishing -> Email) that gives customers the ability to configure the Subject of the Email when sending Test Reports directly from QESTLab. The option lets users configure which database fields appear in the subject line by including the field name within double box brackets. E.g. If the option is configured as "Report No: [[ReportNo]] of Client: [[ClientName]]" then it will generate the following email subject line; "Report No: WO-12345S01 of Client: My Test Client ABC". The fields that can be included in the subject line are restricted to the following: ReportNo WorkOrderID ClientCode ClientName ProjectCode ProjectName LabName If an incorrect field or format is entered then the entire Subject will revert to the default value which is, "Test Report [[ReportNo]]"

Licensing Requirements: Proctor - Standard [AASHTO T 99 - 2015] [110090] Proctor - Modified [AASHTO T 180 - 2015] [110091] Proctor - Standard [AASHTO T 99 - 2015] * [110095] Proctor - Modified [AASHTO T 180 - 2015] * [110096] Changes: The full screens now have a document level option, which controls if the various checkboxes for 'Plot X% Air Voids Line' are visible. This defaults to false. The 2015 versions of T 99 and T 180 now explicitly require oversize particle correction. They have a new oversize section which follows the method mentioned in the annexes of each standard. Adjustment of compaction results for oversize material is now included in the compaction standards and T 224 has been discontinued. References to AASHTO T 224 have been removed from the compaction report. Bug Fixes: In addition to the above, a bug that caused the '³' character in the prompts in bulk entry, and the report, to appear as ' � , has been fixed. Running the QESTNET.Upgrade Tool (greater than version 2.2) against the database will apply the fix. The Oversize Specific Gravity defaults to '2.600' unless another value has been entered. This can now be entered and reported to 3 decimal places. The test screens, and associated test report will now both show the MDD and AMDD to 1 decimal place. The test report will no longer show oversize or adjustment results unless the 'Oversize Percentage' is equal to, or greater than, the 'Minimum Oversize for Correction'. An issue for the 'Specific Gravity of Soils [AASHTO T 100][110260] test screen has been fixed, which caused the 'Mass of Pycnometer + Water (g)' field to be editable even if it is locked

Licensing Requirements: In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556 - 2015] [ID 110305] Reporting format changes: Apparatus calibrated volume is reported to 4 significant figures Bulk density of the sand used is recorded to 3 significant figures Bulk Density of Sand (lb/ft³) no longer clears when 'Calculate' button is clicked after QESTField is opened after data changes in QESTLab. Test hole volume is displayed to 4 significant figures on the test screen, in QESTLab and QESTField, and is reported to 4 significant figures. In-place dry unit weight is reported to 3 significant figures. In-place water content of the soil is reported to the nearest 1% on the Material Test Report and Field Density Test Report, when imported on the Relative Compaction test. In-place water content method is reported now. In-place Wet Density and Dry Density are reported to 3 significant figures on the Field Density Test Report. Percentage of oversized particles is reported to 3 significant figures if a sibling In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556 - 2015][ID 110305] is present. ​Test screen changes: The terminology of moisture content in the test screen has been corrected to "Water Content". In-place water content methods: ASTM D2216 and ASTM D4643 have been changed to ASTM D2216-A and ASTM D4643-A to match the reporting requirement (water content of soil is reported to nearest 1%). In the Sand Cone In-Situ Density [ASTM D 1556] screens, 'Volume of Sand Cone Apparatus' is not used for Mass calculation when the selected Sand Cone apparatus does not have a valid calibrated Volume to import, hence it's not calculated or editable in QESTLab or QESTField. To avoid confusion, in QESTLab and QESTField, the 'Volume of Sand Cone Apparatus' field will now be hidden when a Sand Cone equipment is not selected.

This test screen also has a specific report 'Batch Plant Inspection Ticket Report [17399]' which will be automatically created whenever a 'Batch Plant Inspection Ticket' is used. Licensing requirements: Batch Plant Inspection Ticket [119015] Batch Plant Inspection Ticket Report [17399] Batch Plant Inspection Ticket Aggregates (list) [20102] Batch Plant Inspection Ticket Cementitious Material (list) [20103] Batch Plant Inspection Ticket Admixtures (list) [20104] Note that the three new list items will appear under the 'Miscellaneous' filter in the lists node for QESTLab. This screen has been made to mirror the functionality of the 'Batch Plant Inspection Ticket' workflow in QESTField: Material Types (Admixtures, Cementitious Materials, Water and Aggregates) can be created, modified and deleted. The 'Mix Data' grid on the concrete sample will be locked from editing when a Batch Plant Inspection Ticket is present on the sample. Total Water Allowable will calculate if a mix with a valid 'Water Amount' has been selected, or a Water Amount has been manually entered, along with a value for 'Cubic Yards (Batch)'. Water Allowable at Site will calculate as long as an amount for 'Total Water Allowable' as been calculated. This value is the 'Total Water allowable' minus the sum of all aggregate type's free water measurements, 'Water Added at Plant' and 'Water Added after Batching'. QESTField Workflow Changes: A new phase has been added to the workflow that allows a summary of the Batch Plant Inspection Ticket to be sent via email. The recipient can be selected from the Contacts associated with the concrete sample's Client and Project. New contacts can also be created. The 'Comments' section now prints on the test report. The user will not be able to leave the screen if an instance of a material type has been created, but hasn't had a Type selected from the drop-down list. When the Batch Plant Inspection Ticket is present, the associated concrete sample will not have an 'Edit Sample' button in QESTField. The sample fields Contractor and Location can now be set in this workflow. Configuration requirements: For the Batch Plant Inspection Ticket Report [17399] to appear correctly, the QEST Custom Test Reports defined in file Common.qctr must be reinstalled through the QEST Administrator Console.

It allows for the following options: None: if selected, will result in no MPUV value being able to be entered within QESTField Enter Final Result: if selected, a value for MPUV can be entered but it will be directly entered into the Concrete Sample and no test will be added Report Final Result: if selected, the reduced test corresponding to the selected standard will be added to the Concrete Sample and the 'Report MPUV' checkbox on the sample will be automatically checked. Enter and Report Full MPUV Test: if selected, the full MPUV test will be added to the Concrete Sample. Also, an MPUV Phase will be added to the Workflow in QESTField to allow the user to complete the MPUV test in QESTField. Additionally, the field 'Maximum Aggregate Size' can now be specified for concrete samples from external deliveries on the Concrete Field Testing (AS) workflow. QESTLab Changes: 'Slump' and 'Number of Strokes per Layer' will now only be shown when the Compaction Method selected has type "Rodding". The 'Measured Density' field on the Concrete Sample [AS] [1604] screen will import its value from a child MPUV test and lock if one exists. 'Mass Per Unit Volume' will now be reported to the nearest 10 kg/m³

Licensing Requirements: Limerock Bearing Ratio [FM 5-515 - 2015] [110268] Changes: A warning message is displayed when the Moisture Content increments are greater than 1.5% A warning message has been created for when calculations of the Material LBR are unable to be made, due to two or more data points above 90% of the material LBR not being entered. A new oversize exclusion section has been included, which makes the screen comply with the new standard. This includes oversize results for the 2 inch, 0.75 inch and No. 4 Sieves. The user will also be able to record whether the subgrade or base oversize method is being used. Subgrade is the default. Reporting has been updated so that if 'Subgrade' oversize is selected,the 'Percent Retained 2 Inch' is reported, and if 'Base' oversize is selected 'Percent Retained 0.75' is reported. Bug fixes: A bug was also fixed where the reported MDD and OMC values were not rounding to the nearest 0.1 on the test report. The incorrect tab order in Oversize frame has been fixed. A bug, which caused the value for Mass Retained in 2 Inch not being cleared when Materials Used for is changed to "Base", has been fixed.

This is because the NZ road authority specification requires a greater precision than the standard method.

This chart has been modified so that labels will only be added for intervals when there is sufficient room, with powers of ten always labelled. Please note that this only applies when the labelling for this chart has not been customised on the Multipoint test screen. An additional issue where the chart legend could appear over the chart has also been fixed. Oversize adjustments now occur for oversize percentages for values of 5% and greater (previously strictly greater than 5%). The Oversize Sieve Size and Oversize Percentage of Particles is now reported as per standard requirements. If no oversize correction has occurred the oversize details no longer appear on the report. The reporting precision for 'Adjusted Maximum Dry Unit Weight' and 'Maximum Dry Unit Weight' for "Proctor - Standard [ASTM D 698 - 2012]' is now 1 decimal place. A bug where the Labels on the Bulk Entry views for these two tests did not match the terminology on the screens has also been fixed. Furthermore, an addition has been made to the Document Level Options for the 'Relative Compaction (TxDoT) [110202] test screen; 'Dis-allow External Proctor Import (Yes/No)' which mimics the Relative Compaction (ASTM) [110201] test screen, and determines whether external proctors can be used for import.

The warning icon can be clicked if the user wishes to overwrite the on-screen values with the mould calibration. Many changes have been made to ensure the calculation and/or usages of Mould Volume, Mass and Diameter remain consistent regardless of the order data was entered. The Document Level Option "Mould Volume" has been revised. When the option is set to "Calibrated"; if a mould with a calibrated volume is used, the calibrated volume is used for calculations, otherwise the mould volume can be calculated. When the option is set to "Calculated"; if a mould with a calibrated volume is used, the calibrated volume is ignored in all cases. The mould volume can only be calculated. When the option is set to "" (no text) or "Both"; if a mould with a calibrated volume is used, the calibrated volume is used only if both the mould height and diameter are not given, if the height and diameter are given, the mould volume is calculated. The Document Level Option "Mould Mass" has been revised. When the option is set to "Calibrated"; if a mould with a calibrated mass is used, the calibrated mass is used for calculations and cannot be overwritten. When the option is set to "Measured"; if a mould with a calibrated mass is used, the calibrated mass is used but can always be overwritten. When the option is set to "" (no text) or "Both"; the default behaviour resides, which varies per Maximum Dry Density type and whether or not a mould is selected.

A warning message has been added for when two water adjustments are the same, and an error will no longer be shown.

The following fixes have been made for the Mechanical Testing of Steel Products [ASTM A 370] (ID 14003) test: The Bar Size selection has been made consistent across the QESTLab test screen, the bulk entry screen and the QESTField workflow. "Strain Gauge" no longer appears on the QESTLab test screen and bulk entry. The value for "Yield Load" was erroneously labelled as "Yield Point". This has been corrected. The Bend test result can now be entered manually. Please note this field is limited to 10 characters. The format of Weight has been corrected to be to the nearest 1 decimal place.

The following change has been made to the QESTField Asphalt Density [ASTM D 2950] workflow: A bug has been fixed where a blank screen was displayed when pressing enter in the 'Maximum Lab Density' box when 'Import Maximum Lab Density' was set to 'External'.

It will now focus on the next mass field. Tab order has been fixed for the controls on the screen.

Bug#5919	INTERNAL	INTERNAL	QESTLab	Publishing Reports - Various Issues	The following issues have been fixed for publishing reports: Contacts with 'EmailTo' set to 'No' will no longer appear in the Publishing form. The Distribution list will now only show reports in the Report drop down. The option 'Show selected contacts on Top', which would only show if the Distribution List was not licensed, has been removed from the Publishing Form. When using Work Order level publishing, the subject and email notes have been fixed to format correctly. When the QAC option 'Extended Email Subject and Notes' is set to FALSE, the Subject will contain a list of all the test reports with issue numbers, while the Notes will also contain a list of the reports published along with the Client and Project. If 'Extended Email Subject and Notes' is set to 'Excluding Work Order Location' or 'Including Work Order Location' then the Email subject and Notes will contain information about each of the report's samples. This information will be grouped by sample. This means that a list of Test Reports which are being published on each sample are shown first followed by the sample information of that sample. This is done for each sample whose report has been checked for publishing. An error, that stated 'Subject and Notes could not be automatically generated by QESTLab' after clicking an unsigned report when using the Work Order level publishing, has been fixed. Previously when an image was attached to a test report, the image would appear as a node beneath the signed test report in the reports tree of the Work Order Level Publishing Form. If the user was to check the node it would fail to publish the reports. They are now no longer shown in the Form.
