QESTLab 4.1.2000 RC, QESTField 4.1.14 (QESTNET.Upgrade 1.32) Release Notes

From QESTonline
Bug/CR ID Customer Code Customer Reference Product(s) Modified Name Release Notes
Bug#5359 INTERNAL QESTLab, QESTField Relative Compaction: Reduced proctor tests never allow field oversize adjustment when imported to ASTM or TxDOT screens Previously, if a reduced proctor test was imported to a Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110201] or Relative Compaction (TxDOT) [ID 110202] test no field oversize adjustment could be made. To allow this, reduced proctor tests will now be assumed to have been performed using the Saturated Surface Dry method as long as "Oversize Specific Gravity" has a value set.
Bug#5360 USPSI QNET649 QESTField Sample Pickups: Error when adding ASTM C136/C117 workflow A bug which caused an error message to appear when adding the workflow "Sample Pickup - ASTM C136/C117 Sieve of Fine & Coarse Agg by Wash" has been fixed.
Bug#5362 USPSI PSI1444 QESTLab Field Density Test Report: Missing Field Density information A bug which prevented fields relevant to field density tests from appearing in the "Testing Details" section of the Field Density Test Report (ID 110244) has been fixed.

An additional issue was fixed which caused the following tests to duplicate reported fields when placed on the same sample as a Relative Compaction test:

  • Field Density Sand Replacement (Metric) [ASTM D 1556 - 07] (ID 110405)
  • Nuclear Field Density [AASHTO T 310 - 13] (ID 110266)
  • Nuclear Density and Moisture Determination [Tex-115-E Part I] (ID 110800)
  • Nuclear Density and Moisture Determination [Tex-115-E Part I] * (ID 110706)
Bug#5363 INTERNAL N/A QESTLab Field Density Test Report: Oversize reported for proctor when no field oversize correction applied A bug has been fixed which caused the field "Oversize (%)" to be reported for the imported proctor test when no field oversize correction was applied as part of the test Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110201] or Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110202].
Bug#5364 INTERNAL QESTField, QESTLab Relative Compaction: QESTField copies Laboratory Oversize into Field Oversize A bug which caused QESTField to copy Laboratory Oversize (%) from the imported proctor into the Relative Compaction test's "Dry Oversize (%)" field has been fixed.

The following changes were also made to QESTField to make the Adjustment Maximum Dry Density calculation consistent with QESTLab:

  • If no field oversize correction is performed, the AMDD value will be taken from the imported proctor.
  • For AASHTO and ASTM test methods, no field oversize adjustment will be performed if Dry Oversize (%) is less than 5 (in accordance with standards ASTM D 4718 and AASHTO T 99).
Bug#5366 INTERNAL INTERNAL QESTLab Relative Compaction: Patch for pre-existing tests does not set AllowEnterOversize A patch in QESTNET.Upgrade sets the field "EnterOversize" to true for Relative Compaction (ASTM) [ID 110201] and Relative Compaction (TxDOT) [ID 110202] tests created under the previous screen configuration to prevent data loss when accessing these tests. This patch was not setting field "AllowEnterOversize", which caused some unexpected behaviour when the test was loaded. This has been fixed.
Bug#5369 INTERNAL QESTLab Field Density Test Report: Moving Sand Cone Volume to 'Testing Details' section To address an issue where the reported fields for the test In-situ Density - Sand Cone Method [ASTM D 1556 - 07] (ID 110304) were too narrow on the Field Density Test Report (ID 110244), the field "Sand Cone Volume" has been moved to the "Testing Details" section.
